Major Curatorial Work & Publications –2002-2006

2002: Italian Paintings of the XV – XVIII Centuries from Bob Jones University & Gallery--exhibition curator; researched, edited and co-designed 32 page color catalog of the exhibition with KSU students

2003: Rodolfo Morales: Magical Stories of Mexico, exhibition curator, wrote extensive essay and edited 28 page color catalog.

2003: The Collectors’ Vision: Black Folk Art of the American South from the Collection of Ann and Ted Oliver, curated first exhibition of work from this extensive collection of nationally recognized southern folk artists.

2003: The Collector’s Vision: Central and East African Art from the Collection of Peggy Slappey; worked with collector to complete extensive research and wrote brochure essay.

2004: La subversion de la realidad; worked with Spanish government to obtain traveling exhibition and arranged lecture by Don Alejandro Castellote, a leading European curator.

2004: On the Grounds II A Sculpture Exhibition, sequel to On the Grounds I; curated exhibition of four emerging artists, including maquettes and site drawings for sculptures on campus and worked with them and KSU Facilities & Design Office to coordinate site selections and installations.

2005: African American Sculpture from the Collection of Howard University, Spelman College, Clark Atlanta University and Atlanta Life Financial Group; curated exhibition and edited brochure of work by nationally recognized sculptors.

2005: Process and Perception: Contemporary Art by Three French Artists, curated avant garde installations, drawings and videos by Anne Deleporte, Stephen Dean and Patrick Martinez, internationally exhibited artists; wrote brochure.

2005: The Collector’s Vision: Works by Athos Menaboni from the Collection of Russell Clayton, curated exhibition, wrote essay and edited brochure. The entire collection has been donated to Kennesaw State University by Mr. Clayton.

2005: The Collectors’ Vision: Latin American Art in Georgia Collections, curated first major exhibition in Georgia of Hispanic art borrowed from museums and noted collectors.

2006: Merging East and West: The Installations of Chen Zhen, curator of exhibition, wrote catalog essay and was co-designer and editor of 20 page color catalog Co-wrote successful $10,000 grant from the National Endowment for the Arts for this acclaimed exhibition;; also obtained funding from the Georgia Humanities Council for a series of lectures related to the exhibition as part of “The Year of China.”
