Sanders, Michael

Michael is a life-long Artist. By middle school age he had worked in a wide spectrum of mediums. By high school he had also done mural work and was awarded honorable mention in painting at a public show in Atlanta. Michael received a Bachelor’s degree in Visual Arts from Georgia State University in the field of Illustration.

For twenty-eight years Michael worked in the printing and advertising field as a Color Expert and Quality Control manager. Over the years he has taught a number of adult classes in watercolor painting, oil painting and figure drawing. The past five years he has taught Elementary School Art in public schools. During these years he has done commission work for Murals, Decorative work and fine Art Painting around the North metro area. For several years Michael shared a studio on Marietta Street in Atlanta. During all of this time he was in a number of small group shows with other Atlanta artists.

Now Michael is turning his attention to a full time life in the Arts. His focus will be on Drawing, Painting and some part-time Instruction. His work, though shifting slightly in style, remains a painterly expressive realism.
