Teacher's Choice: Youth Exhibition and Competition

The purpose of the exhibit is to showcase the wide variety and quality of youth art in education in our area. This will be an opportunity for young artists to show their work in a professional gallery setting. This exhibit will be held in conjunction with the first annual Acworth ArtsFest on the weekend of April 14-15. The exhibit is open to High School, Middle School and Elementary students throughout our area, public or private. The submissions will be made by Arts Educators and jurored by a select jury of Art Educators. Submissions will be open January 1. In addition to this exciting exhibit, we will be encouraging schools in the local area to consider setting up tent displays in our common area parking lot which is adjacent to the main festival on the weekend of April 14th-15th. These displays can highlite particular projects, and be a way to display works by the entire class. We expect that the ArtFest in Acworth will be quite a draw and a great opportunity to show your work. Our next steering committee meeting is scheduled for December 6th at 7:00pm at Gallery 4463.
