Biograpical Sketch

Watercolor is a very popular and fascinating artistic medium used by amateurs, teachers and professional artists.

After many years as an elementary school teacher, I enrolled in my first watercolor class in Palm Beach Florida in 1996. I remember being told watercolor artistry is not achieved with just talent; it is achieved through years of dedicated study and application. John Pike once said “watercolor has an action all of it’s own; it moves, it crawls and even fights back”. It is an on going challenge in my life to discover what makes watercolor work!

My watercolor art is an expression to the way that I record my experiences and the world around me. Nature is one source of artistic inspiration, but I also love painting pictures depicting the past ………a bit of nostalgia.
